before anyone lectures about how a bad idea it was, i was only 11 when i got my dog and didn't know any better. my parents were naive too as they never owned a dog but i begged for years. so basically my dog has been trained to go inside the house on the doggy training pads that puppies use and we clean it like almost like a litter box. we did this because if i was at school and my parents were at work, he would be alone for 7-8 hrs if i had sports after school. now i realize that was a mistake and dogs should go outside, but my dog is now 6 and i wanna know if it is possible for me to train him to outside instead? hes been doing this for years and im afraid we are just going to keep cleaning up his pads for the rest of his life. any advice or anyone know how i would go about it? i couldnt find much information online about this specific situation.
