Dog sprayed by skunk, now has scabbing

Has anybody dealt with their dog experiencing scabs where a skunk sprayed?

This past Sunday night my dog was sprayed for the first time and might have been scratched (there was a small bald patch on the side of his face less than half the size of a dime).

He's been washed thoroughly and I treated the injury at the same time. He has always suffered from allergies/sensitivities so I already have a disinfecting solution and topical cream (antibacterial and antifungal) from the vet because in the past he got breakouts/sores frequently (luckily this has stopped since finding him the right food).

It's a few days later and there is scabbing that extends past the initial spot. He's eating and drinking normally, and over-energetic as always. He isn't bothered by it except for when I am treating the area.

I'm making an appointment with the vet, but they can't get him in until next week. In the meantime I have started using the solution and cream twice a day. I'm not sure if this is a reaction from the possible scratch, the skunk spray, or the hydrogen peroxide from when I washed him (I used the peroxide, baking soda and dish soap mix).

He is a 5 year old Rottweiler, 100lbs, neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (yearly update was a few weeks ago).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently at work, but can link a photo when I am get home.
