Hesitations about rescue cat adoption

I currently have a rescue cat at my house for a "trial run" where the rescue let me take her in for 2 weeks without actually adopting her, to make sure we are a good fit. She is the sweetest cat ever and I'm really falling in love with her, but I suspect she may have allergies (she sniffles and sneezes all the time and has balding spots from scratching/biting her skin). I've never owned a pet before and I'm concerned about being able to adequately deal with this potential problem. I'm also moving to a different state in late August, which concerns me more since I'd have to seek out another vet to pick up on the progress the current vet and I could make.

I'm considering bringing her back and not adopting her, but I feel guilty even thinking about the possibility. Would I be the asshole if I did return her?
