It's always been a dream of mine to adopt a dog and give it a great life with a loving family. My parents never allowed pets, but now that my boyfriend and I are looking for our own place, we're trying to think of ways to make adoption work for us. We both have full-time day jobs, so we aren't home until the evening. Dogs require and deserve a lot of time and attention, so normally I would just say forget it, but it seems like a lot of other couples in our situation make it work.
Can we make adopting a dog work for us? How? Are you in a similar situation, or know others who are? How do they make it work?
I would really appreciate any advice you could give.
