I got two sibling kittens, so I wouldn't have to worry about them bothering me. But one of them is constantly wanting me to play with him. What do I do?

I work from home and wife works long hours. We got two sibling kittens, and one of the reasons for that was we read that it helps prevent boredom and keeps them from bothering you. They are reaching 7 months, and for the last 2 months, one of them has become super needy with me. Like, he literally wants to play every hour for 20+ minutes and it's disturbing my work and concentration. If I ignore him, I get constant meowing, clawing at my leg, rubbing my leg, jumping onto the desk and walking over my keyboard for 15 minutes. Hell, if he finally chooses to just do something on his own or is laying down, the moment I get up to use the bathroom or something, he thinks it's time to play. The cycle then starts all over.

My vet advised to keep ignoring him, but that was a month ago and things haven't gotten better. Is there anything I can do so he can stop being so needy?
