Looking for some advice for my 5yr old cat Niko

Howdy friends. So I've had my cat for about 4 years now and when I first got him he would sneeze big boogers quite a bit but I did some research and found that cats get a cold usually when they get a new owner. No worries there as it went away after about a month.

Fast forward to December 2018, my cat started sneezing again (we moved into a new house in July 2018) and also randomly gets what I think are asthma attacks. Neither symptoms have gone away since they started back during the holidays.

With those things in mind, had a few questions I wanted to get some advice on:

  • Are there any remedies to the sneezing/allergy type symptoms? Usually I'd just wait until it subsides but it's been going on for 5 months now, through 2 seasons, so I'm trying to see if anyone's had success with any allergy medicines or just diagnoses in general. It didn't happen when we first moved into the new home so I'm less sure it's because of that.
  • Asthma. He gets these random coughing fits, like rapid-fire sneezing/coughing (don't really know how to describe) and he can't really do anything while it's happening except cough/sneeze. The vet seemed unconcerned but called it asthma but it just seems so uncomfortable and bad that I want to help him. Any advice (besides maybe an inhaler) is appreciated.

All that said, he acts totally normal and eats and poops and all that good stuff. I just want to help him with his sickness(es) :(
