Moving into a new apartment with new roommates and want to ease the transition for my kitty. Any advice?

My cat is 7, and she has occasionally scratched furniture in the past. I've gotten her scratching boards, and they only successfully entertain her for a few days before she ignores them forever. She tore up one of the arms of our couch over the past two years, but has slowly stopped scratching furniture because she knows I will make a loud sound whenever her she does, which she does not like. I don't want her to revert to scratching furniture again, especially because the couch at the new place is much nicer than my old one.

After a year of having her, I finally found a toy that she actually likes to play with (it's called the Cat Dancer and it's amazing), so it's hard to find toys that distract her. She is very food motivated and wakes me up in the morning sometimes to feed her. I just want to know if anyone has any strategies on how to manage these bad behaviors throughout the transition into the new apartment!
