I have a 1 year old female pit (Nikita). Well, Nikita is otherwise a well behaved dog. She is affectionate, playful and loves greeting new people. She understands the standard commands and is an all around great dog. I could even walk her without a leash and she will stay right by my side. She's a good girl.
Except for one problem. She tears up every single doggy bed that I've bought her. I've even tried a thick rubber front door mat, only to come home to a rubber door mat in 500 pieces.
She get exercise, she has all the toys and stimulation she needs. She has a playmate. My wife has a three year old chichi (who's kind of a bitch) but they play well together and are well bonded. Also, my wife and I work right around the corner, so I come home at least twice a day to let them out and feed them lunch etc.
In the past year, I've probably spent $500 on doggy beds for her. It's like I go to Ross every other week for a new bed.
Has anyone else resolved this with their dog?
