Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but my mom came to visit me in college and she brought our dog. We were in my dorm room and the beds are really high in college dorms. Our dog was acting nervous so we put her on the bed to calm her down. As I was getting up to go on the bed with her she just jumps off of it and it’s at LEAST 4 ft high. She is just a little shitzu and she’s 9 years old. Me and my mom watched in horror as she seemed to land on her chest. She got right back up though, walked around, and seemed to shake it off. It doesn’t seem like anything is wrong but with a jump like that I can’t help but think something happened to her. Should we take her to the vet now?? This happened a few hours ago and she still seems fine but I’m just looking for a second opinion. I know that shitzus can develop back and leg issues from jumping off of beds which is why I’m so worried even though my mom seems not to be worried.
