So my gf’s family has a 7yo Bohemian Potcake dog. He is EXTREMELY spoiled and has never been trained. He does not know how to go on walks or even sit. He cries at the bedroom door and scratches the paint off when he wants attention, but if you let him in the room he eats everything.
He thinks that all the traditional “punishments” are “play.” If you have a firm voice with him, spritz him with water, or tap him on the nose he thinks you’re trying to play. I have no idea how to discipline this dog and he’s keeping me up at night with his whining.
He is also very defensive and aggressive. He will bite if you try to hug anyone in the house or if you run past him. He growls if you try to push him off the couch or take a toy/treat from him, he has pretty serious resource guarding issues. I would like to train him properly, but I’m not sure how.
