Some background: I have a 3-4 year old rescue chiweenie that i rescued a little over a year ago. I don’t have much background information on him, he was found wandering around a church parking lot. After having him a few months, he had really bad separation anxiety every time i would leave for work. He would whine, shake and pant every time i would put on my shoes to leave. I decided to get a second dog to keep him company, so I rescued a second chiweenie and they are the best of friends. Fast forward 6 months and he’s back to shaking, panting and whining when I leave for work and recently he’ll start shaking out of no where. I have had a dog in the past with seizures and he’s not having a seizure. He doesn’t seem in pain, just a little scared and clings to me. Tonight, I was sitting on the couch watching tv and he was laying next to me completely fine and then he gets up, sits in my lap and starts shaking. After 20-30 minutes of petting and kisses, he’s fine again. He has also woken me up the last couple nights around 4:00 doing the same. Any suggestions on what might be going on and what I can do to help him? Anything helps!
