My fiancee and I just got a new kitten and we have a 2 year old cat already. She's good with other cats but is still a little afraid of the new kitten (some hissing but doesn't bat or run away from him). We're keeping him in the spare bedroom during the day and spending a lot of time with him. We want to slowly expose him to our other cat over time in short bursts. The plan for night was to move his toys and litter and food/water to the master bathroom and shut him in there while we sleep. Is it okay to go to bed (8 hours) and leave him in there or should I wake up during the night to check on him?
