After realizing we do not want and should not get another dog, I am wondering what pet to get.
We have two kids (1.5yo and 4.5yo) I am at home a lot because I do not work right now. But I do take online classes,about to finish with my Bachelor's degree. I would be doing most of the caring for it. Not into shedding or very long hair. I would like a pet that is pretty independent,not requiring my love and attention every second of the day. We do have days where we go out but not for more than 4 or 5 hours max. Minimal cleaning would be nice. We live in an apartment currently and it is not huge.
I thought maybe a cat because I love them but seeing as we have kids,one of them being an infant, I am concerned about them getting scratched or something. I have had a cat before but that was before I had children.
