Paralyzed dog,.

Just wanted to share a story of our dog...

We have a 3y/o female dog who recently, according to the doctor, was paralyzed. The doctor also told as that there was little to no more chance of recovery.

My mom decided to take her home after days of confinement and meds at the vet clinic.

We have this aunt who insisted on putting our pet to sleep, because she says that’s how it is in the USA. Btw, we are Filipinos living in the PH and my aunt is married to an American and currently living in the US.

We told her we didn’t want to because we couldn’t handle euthanasia. But she still kept on insisting.

We took care of our pet but my mom does almost all of the work. She takes care of our dog like it’s her real child. She also feeds our dog on her lap like a child because our dog can’t stand up/sit,she can’t even lift her head, she’s just laying. She also massages our dog’s feet sometimes. I can truly see the patience and love that she’s giving to our dog.

And after some weeks, we see improvements. Our dog can now lift her head and half of her body. She can now slowly, but not fully, sit by her own.

Everytime i see those improvements, i always remember what the doctor told us before that she has almost no chance of recovery. But with patience and care, I know we can help her recover from being paralyzed. And hopefully soon I can say “in your face!” to my arrogant of an aunt lol

So guys, i just want to say please be patient with your pets especially if they have illness..
