I’m allergic to cats (not seriously but affects quality of life), and I’m considering using my gf’s suitcase (we’re long distance and i’m leaving for a trip - it’s a logistics/cost efficient thing). her cat historically has scratched on it (without damaging), would hop up on it, just generally be in the room with it. Should I be fine if i clean the suitcase at home good enough? Soap and water, maybe an allergen soap? Dunno if you can dry clean a suitcase. Or does it seem like a lost cause and maybe I should get a different suitcase. Don’t want to be miserable my whole trip, I know cat dander is a bitch. Any insight?
