Suspected Animal Abuse/Neglect at "zoo"

hi, sorry if this post isn't exactly tailored to this subreddit, I'm going to try a few animal related ones because I want to do something.

I came across this MA "zoo" today that advertised itself as an educational family place and rescue. I was excited as an animal lover for a new place to check out, but when I arrived I was extremely concerned. Here's a few things that I saw:

  • Animals pacing back and forth in small areas
  • A box of turtles under another exhibit that people were encouraged to touch and handle (many of them without much room to move
  • a bunny petting zoo with no supervision that children were climbing into and grabbing at terrified bunnies
  • a wooden box (open topped) of guinea pigs very close to a large snake being handled/exhibited
  • a small coop of chicks (again, open topped) being kept in the middle of the reptile room
  • a dead tarantula outside of an enclosure, just legged up in front of some lizard tank
  • very minimal bedding in reptile tanks, the bottom of the tanks were clearly visible or covered in newspaper
  • two large snakes being kept together
  • a small crocodile in a tank small enough it couldn't move (with a small explanation near it saying that a larger enclosure made it anxious)
  • a kangaroo in an enclosure the size of a closet with the same explanation
  • exotic birds cramped into tiny cages
  • two large bunnies in container with barely any room

Many of the smaller animals and reptiles were kept in "pet shop" conditions and most of the animals did not have anything stimulating in there enclosures. A lot of the animals were trying to hide in the corners of barren enclosures or pacing around frantically. I didn't spend too much time there, but I did get some pictures and videos. I'm not an animal expert, but my gut says these aren't acceptable conditions. Not to mention, the place was visibly filthy, some of the glass was so dirty you could barely see the animal through it. Also it was a shitty educational experience because most of the enclosures were not labeled and I had no idea what the animals were!

I've already called the Animal Rescue League of Boston and left a message, but they haven't returned my call. Is there anyone else I can call? Contact?

I just want to do the right thing for these animals
