I let my cat out Friday night and haven’t managed to find her yet.
We last caught a fleeting glimpse of her on Saturday afternoon but didn’t see where she went.
Next to where I live there is a row of buildings that are derelict and so the garden is overrun and the buildings abandoned.
I know she likes to play in that garden and sometimes she naps in the doorway to the building so I put a couple of dreamies on the steps going into the abandoned building and they have been eaten but I’m not 100% sure if it was by her or by a squirrel or a bird.
There are birds in the back garden that are landing on the floor which makes me think she isn’t around in the grass because when she has been in the garden, the birds sit high up in the trees and squark like mad at her.
I think (not 100% sure) she has been playing in the abandoned building but I’m concerned because it’s been 2 days and she won’t have had any food or water and hasn’t came to our garden at all.
I’ve tried going into the building and looking for her, but it’s a large building with multiple floors and flats inside and many of the doors are bolted shut, but some of the doors have holes big enough for a cat to squeeze through, but not me.
I recently had her neutered so I’ve kept her inside for the past 2 weeks and so she was desperate to go back out so maybe she just doesn’t want to come in yet?
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to 1) make sure she is ok and 2) coax her back inside?
