Supplements and food additives for older pets?

I have two cats that are getting up in age. One is 9 years and the other was estimated to be 8 to 12 years when I found him in the woods 5 years ago... I've always tried to give them the best life possible and now I'm thinking about adding supplements to their food. I started adding glucosamine powder to their nightly canned food mixed with a dropper full of Pet Wellbeing "Old Friend" from some online review research but I don't trust them that far.... I really want to get the opinions from fellow redditors that have had first hand positive or negative experiences with supplements and food additives for their cats. Tell me what you've loved and what to avoid because I'll trust this before rigged google ratings or paid off vets....

Honestly my cats are my best friends and emotional support and I owe them/want them to have the best life possible and live as long and happily as they possibly can since i can afford it so any tips, or advice on supplements and additives or anything is welcome...

Thankyou
