Very serious here... My kitchen in an open space area and my cat loves to jump on the table, on the fridge, the counter, stove and, most recently, he attempts to jump on a shelf. I tried everything: aluminium foil - he wants to eat it, double sided tape - he doesn't care, a tablecloth - he fills it with fur and even if he falls off, he takes the cloth down, stuff on my stove - he jumps anyways, menthol spray that people swear by - even if i spray everything and it leaves the surface sticky and minty, he doesn't smell a thing and I am worried about it.
I know that having a cat comes with certain responsabilities, but I am tired of spraying him with a water bottle if I see him do that while I am home, and, most of the time, he does that when I am not around. I don't want to be an asshole owner, but at the same time I want him to be okay, not hurt himself, and keep the place clean. Also, cats love to jump, but it's kind of dangerous.
He has water, food and enough toys around that should be keeping him busy. So what do you guys think I should do? (i don't live in the states or uk so amazon wont work for me if it is anything i ought to buy)
