I have 2 cats, plus one foster cat (I know, I'm a crazy cat lady and proud!). I discovered fleas a little while ago. I immediately got Frontline Plus on all 3 of them and sprayed my house with Knockout. I immediately noticed a HUGE difference. The cats do not itch nearly as much and when they do I think they're messing with the previous scabs. I continue to comb them 2-3 times daily. Sometimes I get absolutely nothing, sometimes I get flea dirt (this is mostly the case in my medium haired cat, I think with her it's old dirt but it's just a lot harder to get out), but I also have been getting some dead and even live fleas on occassion. As I mentioned before, though, they're not itching at all. And there is little-to-no flea dirt. I noticed that I usually only get the live fleas after doing some hardcore vacuuming. I'm assuming these fleas are just ones that were in the beginning of their life cycles and I'm finding them before they can succumb to Frontline Plus's magic powers. Am I nearing the end of this infestation?
