Just found out my cat got hit by a car

I’m sorry if this is all over the place and I don’t know what I expect to get out of posting this, but maybe it will be cathartic to get it all out.

As the title says, about 30ish min ago i just found out that my cat Jiji was killed by a car. I loved her so much...she was so cute, super small and jet black (so we named her after the cat from Kiki’s delivery service.) She was so sweet, so affectionate, and every time I’d arrive home from work at night she’d run up from the trees and we’d walk inside together and eat. This was our routine for months :) She was the type of cat to follow you around and sit next to you as you went about your day.

She was a true companion, a friend, and a comfort in times of anxiety and stress. I don’t have words for how much I’m going to miss her. I can vividly remember the last time I saw her, she was sitting on the bed and pushing the side of her head into my hand to force me to pet her haha. I never would have figured that would be the last time I saw her.

I’m gonna miss you Jiji. You impacted my life in such a positive way, and that’s all you can ask of anyone. Thanks for being my cat, and much more than that, my friend and companion
