Hey, my lovely british blue's name is Luna, and she definitely LOVES being an indoor/outdoor cat! Running, jumping, and especially exploring new places is a favourite for her.
We noticed after letting her outside she's using her inside litterbox much less to pretty much not at all. We figured she's doing her business outside but didn't realise it was a problem until our neighbour visited us one day and said she's jumping the fence and exclusively has been pooping in their yard! They said her crap is littering their yard, to the point where they didn't realise a cat could poop so much.
I was obviously mortified, thanked them for telling me, and said I'd keep her inside for the time being while I google and figure out what to do. They said they understand she's a cat and we can't really control her, but if we can try and find a way to prevent her from doing it they'd be grateful.
Do you guys have any tips? My cat is HATING not being outside and looks so sad standing by the door and meowing pitifully.
Her litterbox is always kept clean, I don't know why she's not using it anymore.
