New move with a cat

Hi, my fiancé and I just moved in together with his cat. We've been here for a week & a half. He was in a studio with his cat prior to this. She could always see him and his bed was low so even if he was in bed she knew where he was.

Now we're in a 2 bedroom apartment and she's adjusted very well (more windows!) aside from one thing. If she wakes up and she can't see anyone she yowels very loudly. Our bed is also high so she can't see us when we're in bed. For this issue I put something she could climb next to the dresser so she can get to a high space. However, she likes to sleep in different spots around the apartment and if we happen to not be in the room she's in when she wakes up she yowels. Usually this is fine except at night when us and, I assume, our neighbors are sleeping. She wakes us up with her loud yoweling.

Any ideas? It's been over a week and I think this is just part of her personality instead of being related to moving anxiety. One night we had a bunch of friends stay over so they were all in different rooms and she didn't make a sound that night.

Edit: to add to this, she's also deaf so I can't call her to comfort her. We have to either get out of bed or ignore it.
