A couple of years ago my vet was bought out by a veterinary chain, and I feel they've changed emphasis to - money. At my cat's first checkup after the change, they waited until the end then asked how often she barfs. When I said once or twice a week, as always, they suggested I get her $400 worth of blood tests. (Every cat I've known barfs that often.)
On the latest visit they noted that her back teeth are pretty brown, and suggested a teeth cleaning. It would be $1000 (CDN) because of the general anesthetic, and another $600 if an extraction is required.
Does that make sense to anybody?
