I adopted my first cat yesterday. She’s 2, very sweet and loving, really enjoys to be scratched and the shelter was unsure if she’s ever been an indoor cat before. For most of yesterday I kept her in my bathroom with plenty of food, water, litter, and a scratch post. My bathroom is connected to my bedroom so today I opened the door and she’s been under my bed for about 8-9 hours. I don’t think she’s left or eaten. Did I fuck up by opening the door? I can’t get her to leave from under my bed but kept the bathroom door open in case she’s goes in during the night. I just wanted to slowly expose her to other parts of the apartment.
