Hey guys, just looking for advice. I've been living at the same place for about 7 months now. My roommate has a 65# female (fixed) doberman and I have an 18# female (fixed) Jack-Rat terrier. It took a minute for them to get "okay" with being around each other as they are both alphas, but eventually they did. They will scrap sometimes, but it has gotten a bit more aggressive lately, and it still makes me nervous. Out of the blue (literally starting today), the doberman has been attacking my jack-rat for LITERALLY no reason. It's been completely unprovoked and it's happened twice. The first time, my Gabby was walking to the kitchen with me and Scarlett got ahold of her and had her head in her mouth. Gabby fought back, but when my roommate tried to drag Scarlett away, she just pulled Gabby with her. The second time was when we tried to "reintroduce" them a few hours after everything calmed down. Gabby was laying on the couch and Scarlett went after her again, completely unprovoked. She started to back off when we yelled, this time, but we still pulled her off just to be safe. My roommate and I are worried that Scarlett is becoming possessive of me as it seems to only happen when I'm around. This obviously isn't okay, and I don't want Gabby to pay the price. (I also don't want to have to move because they can't get it together, but that's something else entirely.) Has this every happened to anyone before? Any and all advice is appreciated!
