I have a 5 year old male cat, he lived with my family (parents, brother and I) in the same house until I recently moved and took him with me. He was really close with my dad. I moved around 5 months ago and he is randomly starting to go to the bathroom outside of his litter box even when its clean, he isnt sleeping as much and isnt cleaning himself as often. Could he be developing some sort of seperation anxiety/depression this long after moving? My parents are threatening to give him back to the humane society because they refuse to believe that there is something wrong with him even though he never did any of this when we were all together.
**forgot to mention we had to put down our dog that we had for 15 years a few months ago. They werent like inseparable or anything but they were decently close. I dont know if this is affecting him either. My dog stayed at my parents house when I moved because we didn't want the move to stress him out
