My cat (like most cats, I'm sure) gets very excited about breakfast in the morning and will sometimes try to get me up if he feels it's breakfast time and I'm not up yet.
But lately he's been consistently wanting breakfast at least an hour before I'm supposed to wake up and he's getting very obnoxious and persistent about asking for it. I find myself regularly spending about a full hour pushing him away and trying to go back to sleep every morning as he walks all over me (literally) giving me head butts and licking my face. I'm losing sleep over this and feeling it in my day-to-day.
One thing that has coincided with this and might be affecting it is that the tension rod for my bedroom curtains keeps falling so I took them down until I can replace the rod. I wonder if he's taking his cue from the light coming in the window and once I get a good curtain rod that will stay in place to block out the morning light he won't feel the need.
But till it arrives... any advice?
