Ok so I hear a lot of negative things about letting your cat outside for a few hours. What about fenced in backyards with minimal supervision? I live with my boyfriend and his family. His cat loves sitting outside under the bushes watching the birds and chatters at the squirrels. He doesn’t climb the trees or try to escape or anything, just seem to wanna hang out outside. He always has his collar on with his tags and is chipped. I’ve even recently started putting his harness on when he goes out as well so I can possibly take him for walks in the future for his outside time. But I do keep an eye on him while he’s out. If I meow at him he usually meows right back and if he doesn’t I go look for him. Is this dangerous? I want him to be happy and enjoy himself but I also love this cat and don’t want him to get hurt.
