My loveable, huggable loaf Garfield first came into my life in a small 1 BR apartment when I lived by myself and I soon came to realize that he is extremely talkative. Like inopportune times of the day and night, meowing at me and scratching on closed doors he wanted to get in.
Then, he had to move to my parents’ house because I moved cities and while at my parents, he still is talkative but with a more steady schedule, he calmed down some of his destructive behavior. I am now concerned as I’m moving into a unit that is shared between 4 other strangers and bringing him along. I don’t want to be the roommate with a nuisance of a cat who keeps everyone up at night.
I’m so stressed already with moving and I’ve been going through worst case scenarios with my cat bothering the living hell out of everyone who lives there.. any advice?
