Hello ! so I have this 6 year old cat, her name is Muffin and I've had her for around 2-3 years. (She's a ragdoll) I love her with my entire heart, and she loves me too. I feel like we have an amazing connection. There's just one problem. She won't stop urinating and pooping outside of the litter tray !!
My parents haven't taken her to the vet yet, but I'm pretty sure she has no issues revolving around her bladder. She's been constantly going toilet right next to the litter. She has two trays, and it's very clean. She sometimes choses to use the litter, but most of the time she doesn't. She will urinate on our laundry basket, my carpet, anywhere !!
She's done it in my room multiple times, and when a few weeks ago I had gotten my room cleaned. Steam cleaned.- Took days. And I'm afraid that she'll go in my room again.
My parents have talked to me about it, they say that if she continues to do this, we'll have to give her away. They've given me ads on ragdolls, they talked about getting a kitten, but just the thought of giving my cat away breaks me into tears.
I don't know what to do. I don't want to get rid of her, but she's such a hassle for my family. And I'm pretty sure my brother hates her. He always tells her to get out of the living room but let's my other cat in. (we've had him for way longer)
I don't have any friends who have parents willing to take care of her, nor do I have any neighbours who'd take her in.
Please give me advice, I love her so much and I don't want to take her into the shelter where she may be returned over and over again until she's put asleep. I don't want her to question where I went, and I don't want her to be abused.
