As the title says, my wife and I are currently living in a Southeast Asian country and have adopted 2 cats from our local friend. These cats are absolute gems, so cute and cuddly, but since they were restaurant cats, they literally ate the scraps of whatever was left over from the customers. (rice, fish, chicken, pork and some vegetables).
We don't have access to canned wet food where we live, so we tried dry food, and they are absolutely not interested. The first night we got a roasted chicken and fed them the meat because they were hungry, but they are still refusing to eat the dry food. They even prefer eating the geckos from our walls rather than touching their kibble, lol.
Does anyone have advice on how we can make them interested in dry food? Or would it be better to feed them a mix of dry food with some rice and maybe chicken broth to make it tasty?
Any help with this would be much appreciated!
