I am looking to maybe get a dog but i am unsure of what kind or if it would be humane for me to even have a pet. In my curent situation i am alone for almost my entire day, i have no motivation to exercise (working on it) and i am going to study one town over, so i was wondering if i could solve my first two "problems" by getting a dog. But now i have a problem that my dad does not want to take care of a dog, and my mom works a 7-5 job so she cant. So i ask you would it be humane for me to get a dog or would it be better to get another pet or nothing at all.
