I adopted a cat back in November. She had a history of being abused. I brought her home, and she immediately hid under my bed. She still hides under my bed, and will only come out to eat/drink/use the litter box, and that's only if the light is off and she thinks i'm asleep, or if i'm not in the room. If I even look at her she runs back under the bed.
Occasionally if I look at her she slow blinks at me, and that's about the extent of the interaction she'll have with me. Whenever I look at her she always looks extremely tense. I've tried using treats, toys, tuna, and lunch meat to try to get her out from under my bed, and I know it isn't something that I can rush, but I am at a loss and have no idea what to do at this point.
