So my dog used to be a stray and he used to hang around at a restaurant so they just have him their scraps, when we got him he was already one year old so trying to undo the begging behavior would be really difficult. He is 9 now and he still does it but I’ve noticed is that when I’m eating/drinking something and I let him sniff it ( only if I’m positive that he doesn’t like it). For the example I had some mint candies the other day and the sound of the warping paper made him go 0_0 so I let him sniff the candy and he didn’t want it, so now whenever I eat those exact mints he just looks for 2 sec and then goes back to sleep. Idk I just felt like sharing this and maybe others are doing this too? Idk but it’s so funny to me how now these mints are not interesting anymore to him
