So here's the thing , my dormitory doesn't allow dogs and cats , as they can be pretty noisy , but lately life has been pretty hard and I wanted to get something to cheer me up and when I thought about it , hamsters struck me as appropriate pets they are smaller in size and I'm guessing make less noise than a cat or a dog , but I've never had a hamster to care for, any advice on how they prefer their cages , what kind of food they eat , how many times they eat , their behavioral pattern , any kind of advice would be highly appreciated :'3 and I have classes from 8:30 to 4:30 on a daily basis and I'm only available in my room for an hour around 1:30 to 2:30 , so what do I do to compensate them during those hours when I'm not present in my room
