So i know that opening statement sounds horrible. However ill start by saying i love my pets and theyre well taken care of. I had been in a long term relationship with my ex and over the years we accumulated 4 dogs. Post break up i am now needing to find my own place but im finding it difficult to come up with the money for pet rent and deposits for an apartment. My options are very limited. He is taking one, im taking two, and i have rehomed the other with my best friend. I am to the point im willing to let him take another pet. However parting with my original pup ive have for 12 years is not something im willing to do. My future roommate says i need to make a sacrifice and rehome him. Im not comfortable with that idea. And i guess basically i wanted to hear what others thought and if anyone’s encountered this issue and at what point do you decide its you or the dog...
