My mother has a cat who is 14 years old and is 13 years with us. The cat was always very sweet, but very anxious though. We always looked at her as our scared but sweet goofy head.
In those 13 years she never attacked either of us and was always sweet, but a little on her own - which is totally fine by us. But last week it all started and it escalated pretty quickly. The first time she attacked was when I tried to pet her. She bit and put her nails in me, but I thought that maybe she was hurt at that place and I saw it as no big deal. But the second time was a bit weirder, I was sitting next to my mom when she walked up to my leg and started meowing - it was a pretty weird sound, to be honest. I thought that she wanted to come and sit next to us. So I moved over and didn't pet her, because of the last time - I thought that if she wanted to be pet she would let me know. But out of nowhere she attacked me and bit in my arm and put her claws in me. In reaction, I stood up and she jumped from the couch, but just when I thought that it was over she came back for round 2 and 3. I had a pillow in front of me to protect myself and me and my mother scared her away.
But today was the weirdest attack of all. My mother was gone and I was sitting on the couch, when she walked up towards me, I saw something in her eyes that I didn't like and I just wanted to leave the room - because I don't trust her anymore. The moment I stood up, she really attacked me - multiple nails in my knee and calf. At that moment I was scared, but also for her - because I don't want to hurt her. So when she came back for round 2, I gave her a little kick (so that she would run away for me) and I ran to the garden and closed the garden door. When I looked down I saw a lot of blood on my knee and when I looked up I saw the cat near the door screaming and waiting for me to come back.
She was waiting at the door until my mom came home, when she was home she acted normal again.
The weird thing is, that she only attacks me. My mum can still pet her and do everything, but she attacked me 3 times this week and the last time was a heavy attack.
