How do I raise mallard duck eggs without an incubator?

So for about 3 months these 4 ducks came in my back yard and I would feed them and stuff it’s awesome. Well about 12 days ago the female laid an egg. Unfortunately my brother touched the egg as he saw it and got excited . He didn’t know she would abandon the egg upon him touching it. Well she abandoned the egg so we took the egg in and started to take care of it. However I don’t know much about duck hatching so I need some help from this reddit. I’ve read online about the temperature we need to maintain and have been maintaining 37 degrees Celsius give or take about 1.5 degrees for the whole 12 days. My setup is this: a fairly big box with a garden pillow inside and a towel on top to make it more cushiony with the egg on top of the towel with the lamp pointing on the egg with a precise thermometer touching the egg. We control the temperature by moving a towel on top of the container different amounts to keep heat in or out depending on the current temp. I have marked an x on the egg with pencil to turn the egg around easier. I plan to keep this reddit post up to date every day so stay tuned as this will be a completely new journey for me and I’ve been candling the egg along with a the way and so far I think it’s going well.; It looks like what I’ve seen others look like.

Btw the ducks that laid the egg are mallard ducks. I will upload some pictures of the setup and candling of the egg in the comments.

Look here to see how many days the egg has been incubating for: 13

Wish us luck!!!
