Recently a stray cat has given birth on my balcony. We usually use this area to chil and most importantly eat when it's too hot to be inside. I was visiting some relatives for a few days when she gave birth so I don't know how old the kittens are exactly but they can easily walk, run, jump a little bit and even wrestle with eachother. I wanted to give them some time so they wouldn't be so fragile. We haven't been using the balcony for about 4-5 days. They seem to be eating the food I gave them. But now I want them off my balcony. Don't get me wrong I like cats but we can't hang any clothes to dry (no drying machine), I haven't even picked up the clothes on the drying ropes to not disturb or scare them. They poop and pee on the balcony so it has been attracking flies. It has been bunkers hot in here so we are literally dying from the heat because we're inside and they are making a lot of noise because of the material of the flooring and waking me up. I live in an house and the rooftop is accessible trough the space of my balcony for a cat. I have seen their mothers go up there many a times before. (It is totally safe up there btw no danger of falling or anything) Now my question is , if I move them when the mother is gone, would she be able to smell them upstairs and find them? ( I will still be giving them food and water)
