My cats desperately want to go outside but I’ll only allow them to go on a harness, which they hate. My dream is to live somewhere with a cat fence but I won’t be in a position to buy a house for at least several years. Is there any situation where an owner would be likely to allow me to install a cat fence? Maybe I should be looking for places that already have a fenced in backyard so I could ask to just put up cat proof fencing on the top?
