Educate me; I live an apartment and afraid of getting a female dog because of "heat"?
Am I blowing this out of portion? How long does heat last?
I'm currently thinking about buying a puppy and have limited my search to male dogs because female dogs have periods? Not to come off as sexist or anything just being a single male I know nothing about this. Plus I work during the day so really don't want to deal with blood all over the carpet?
Is this a legit concern or am I over-blowing it?
