I (21m) am a Canadian military member looking to get a companion for when I move into my new apartment. I'm thinking on getting a lizard like a leopard geck or bearded dragon. My main concern is that being in the military I might get deployed and be gone for a very long time, is that something that can negatively affect my pets well being? I know I have people that can take care of it while I'm gone, everything from feeding to cleaning and handling.
