Has anyone ever had to talk to their partner about their pet before? We’ve been together five years and bought our first house last year. He has two adult children and a nephew. His nephew and son live with us. He also came with two cats, the feral one is 7 and the nice one 8. One is jovial and loving, the other is like living with a wild animal. She doesn’t let anyone near her unless it’s for food, and is so skittish that she trips me at times. When we bought the house she destroyed some of our new furniture by urinating on it and it took me try after trying to get her urine out of our wide pine floors. Recently we introduced a new cat and she started urinating and pooping everywhere again, as well as not eating. So he added a litter box into one of our living rooms for her and food on the counter. It’s driving me crazy to have a litter box there and I don’t like the cats food on the counter. He won’t get rid of the cat because it’s his daughters but she lives out of state and doesn’t care for the cat. Has anyone had to approach this? I love animals and kids, but this has been really disruptive, especially since I work from home. Advice?
