A couple days ago I picked up my pup, she's a Mastiff X Rottweiler. (Mom: English Mastiff X Rottweiler & Dad: Dogue De Bordeaux X Rottweiler) she was the biggest of the female litter weighing 7.2KG at 8 weeks old.
I work with dogs as a living at a Kennels, so I have some common knowledge on what, who, where and how. For what I thought.... I've never owned a dog personally and only ever had them as a family or again when I'm at work with them. But feeding wise is down to the owners. (Amounts & how often)
I've got for a dry kibble I like because I'm familiar with it from work (Arden Grange)
At the moment I've gone for the 20G per KG of her weight meaning she'd be having 48Gx3 a day 9AM, 2PM & 7PM (I tend use a bit of her kibble as treats for the basic training so around a total of 10-15G extra throughout the day)
I didn't realise how different it is from working with dogs to actually owning one myself.
Just wondering if there's anyone with a similar breed or a Large/Giant breed that can help with how much I should be feeding her and know when to start increasing the weight of her food. What her ideal weight may possible be throughout her growing stages.
Thank you in advance.
