[Need Advice] My bengals keep peeing outside the litter box

I have two bengal males, both fixed.

I've never had any issue with them when they were kittens, but since they turned 2 (now 3), they keep peeing with their butt up in the air and shiver while peeing. Not sure if it's pain shiver.

I bought the biggest litter box i can find, perhaps there are bigger ones. But even then they find ways to pee over the box.

I live in a house now where i am using a space underneath the stairs as dedicated litter room, so it's fine, but we are moving to a condo where I will have to leave the litter box in the office room or something. So I am thinking of buying a litter box enclosure where i put the litter box inside so as to keep the smell contained to an extent and to not have a litter box visually open in the wild. The enclosure is pretty enough to pass as a furniture, and I can put some stuff on top as well.

My concern/question/request for help is:

  1. Why do cats do this? Is it because they are hurting somewhere (UTI?? they have access to free running water fountain, clean at all times) Is it because the box is dirty? I have two boxes cleaned once a day, the litter room is vacuumed and cleaned once a day, box is cleaned once every two weeks or month.

  2. The enclosure box is jumbo sized but it's still not as big as I would have liked. My concern is that whatever litter box i can find to fit inside will not have high enough walls to block their butts from being up in the air as they pee. What clever/effective way can you guys recommend me to line up the inside of the enclosure to make it easier to clean and to protect the enclosure and potentially leaking out onto the floor? Would be nice if there is someway i can connect the litter box to the walls of the enclosure with thick plastic sheet of some sorts that is easy to replace (install/remove) so i dont have to spend hours scrubbing down the box.

  3. Could litter type also be a raeson why they pee weirdly like this? The only difference between before they turned 2 and after when they started peeing like this is i changed their litter. It's more expensive and supposedly be better. But ever since i changed the litter, im not saying there is necessarily a correlation but it's when they started peeing outside the box. i had to change the box size four times already.

Please advise. It's a brand new condo and I really dont want to ruin the floors/walls/unit itself. Thank you
