Brought our new kitten to the vets on Saturday and she told us he has Cat Flu and Conjunctivitis and gave us antibiotics and eye ointment. We have to apply the eye ointment twice a day, however I think it's making it worse... The waterline of his eyes are super pink, pinker than they were before, and he seems to be squinting a lot. Is this normal? Not sure if I'm overreacting and this is just a part of cat Conjunctivitis, or if it's because of the ointment itself. We've applied the eye ointment five times now (two and a half days), and the gunk in his eyes has decreased but now they just look kind of raw (or swollen, maybe?). We've only had him just over a week so we're still unsure what "normal" is for him.
