So I live alone in a house in a relatively rural area where neighbors are far and few. I have heard a cat in the area (obviously young) who's been crying at night. I own a cat who is house broke nad who stays in the house at all times, who has heard the crying cat at the same time as myself, so im sure im not hearing things.
To the best of my knowledge, food is the best way to cox out a stray from its hiding place, but i'm not sure how to get the cat to be comfortable around me enough for me to bring it in. Any advice?
Note: I have fair disposable income to spend on food and accommodation if I could bring the stray in so im willing to commit. Im aware that my cat may turn the stray away from the house itself purely by sent, but im wondering if there is a work around. I love cats and im willing to pick up a stray if I can accommodate one. Any links or words of wisdom is greatly appreciated.
