I found a tiny baby red-eared slider in my driveway tonight. I looked around and didn't find any others or any area that looked like baby turtles might have hatched from it. I was thinking of keeping the little guy/girl, but I don't know if that's for the best? My other option is to release him/her back into the wild, but then should I just set it down near my driveway, or should I release it near the river that's relatively near my house? Please help, I just want to give the little guy/girl the best chance at survival.
