My cat keeps pouncing at himself in my full length mirror?

My cat is about 2 years old, and recently (within the past few months) started exhibiting this new behaviour: I have a closet door on sliders that’s a full length mirror, and when he is in his playful zoomies mood, he runs full speed at himself and pounces on the mirror. Now as you can imagine, this is very loud, but that doesn’t seem to detract him from doing it. He’s known this mirror for a long time, and just started doing this - and it’s causing the the rolling wheels that slide the door back and forth to be disconnected from the tracks (he’s a big cat). Replacing the doors with something non-mirrors isn’t really an option unfortunately, but is there anything I can do to detract this behaviour? It’s super disruptive :(

P.S. I have a second cat, and ample space for him to play, so he’s not alone! The other cat is indifferent to the mirror, so no issues there.
